The Ministry of Presidential Affairs

Functions:

First:  The Ministry of Presidential Affairs, deals with Executive work, in support of the Presidency of the Republic, in its disposal of the tasks which were provided for in the Constitution and the law.

Second: without prejudice to the generality of the above, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, executes the following tasks:-

1-                To conduct the general secretariat work of the President of the Republic, his two Vice – Presidents, Assistants and Advisors.

2-                Without prejudice to the generality of the above, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, shall have the following functions:-

(a)                            Supervision over all the Units of the Presidency, follow-up of their performance and submitting periodical reports of same.

(b)                           To perform the executive tasks, which are the functions of the Presidency of the Republic.

(c)                             To coordinate amongst the various Units of the Presidency of the Republic.

d)                           The preparation of the studies, the provision of information and the fulfillment of needs of topics, to be reviewed by the Presidency, with proposing the alternatives which avails the making of decisions.

(e)                             The follow-up of the execution of the decisions and directions of the Presidency and submitting periodical reports about their execution.

(f)                             To monitor and follow-up the related political developments, to the performance of the State, prepare reports of same and submit them to the President of the Republic.

(g)                            To supervise the organization of the activities of the President of the Republic, his two Vice – Presidents, his Assistants and advisors, internally and externally, monitoring the issued directions, notifying the competent authorities and the follow-up their implementation.

(h)                           To supervise over the State's Protocols.

The Units Forming the Ministry of Presidential Affairs:

The General Secretariat for the Presidency of the Republic.

The Units which are under the Minister of Presidential Affairs:

1.                 The Islamic Jurisprudence (FIQH) group.

2.                 The Public Corporation of the Friendship Hall.

3.                 The Civil Aviation General Authority (to which the Unit for the implementation of the New International Khartoum Airport, follows.)
