Over the history of the palaces and have been repository of nations and peoples' history, they represent their cultural and civilization heritage and their mirror that reflect the trends and visions of its leaders. The republican palace has been a national symbol and a monument which features the integrated national sovereignty since its foundation in 1832, and its reconstruction in 1899, because of the important events and stands that it had witnessed in Sudan's modern history. The importance of building a new presidential building increased due to the inability of the old building in fulfilling the functions and requirements of the Presidency of the Republic under development and modernization, and the size of the work force.
This project represents another effort for the fruitful cooperation between Sudan and the People's Republic of China, which will continue to be a milestone for the continuing of historical, political and economic relations between the two countries.
